The best of both, our mixed Kiln Dried Firewood offers the most versatility of our premium quality range. With 10 nets of Silver Birch for the brilliant flame and the 10 nets of Ash for long lasting high heat output you have the perfect mix for the ultimate fire.

The high heat output and a long burning time means that this performance firewood gives you the best possible value for money. Our logs will burn hotter and last longer  so you will require less logs to warm your room(s). Our logs are cut to 25cm in length to fit the vast majority of wood burners and are kiln dried to an average moisture content of less than 20%.

Not only does burning Kiln Dried Logs give you maximum heat output for every pound you spend, but it will also help keep your burner glass and flue clean and clear from tar condensates, prolonging the life of your burner and saving on chimney sweeping costs. Because each log is processed in the same way (using the kiln drying process) our premium firewood is of a consistent quality at any time of the year.

Our logs are netted and stacked by our delivery driver in your storeroom, home, garage or outbuilding for maximum convenience. Free next day delivery is also available for our local customers.

    I’ve now had three deliveries from Devonshire Firewood and have tried all their kiln-dried products – ash logs alone, birch logs alone, and mixed hardwood (ash and birch logs) – and can honestly say that I’ve been very pleased with everything I’ve ordered. Having struggled through a couple of winters using so-called seasoned wood in my new log burner, I decided to take the plunge and try kiln-dried logs, and have not regretted it for a moment. The slight extra cost has been greatly outweighed by all the advantages : the fire is easy to get going (having lived in Norway for many years, I use the ‘bottom-up’ method for lighting, which I prefer), gets hot quickly and the logs burn well and evenly, with an attractive flame. I have a large sitting room with high ceiling as my house dates from 1890, and it’s never been warmer and cosier in winter, thanks to the kiln-dried logs. The log burner is also much easier to keep clean, with fewer deposits on the glass – a massive plus as far as I’m concerned! The online log ordering process is quick and easy, and delivery is swift, from most helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

    These logs are a good mix, as I like to use the (generally) smaller birch logs to start the fire in the log burner, then add the larger ash logs. Both log types give a good, clean burn – much better in my experience than using so-called seasoned wood – and make for a lovely hot fire. The delivery experience is also first-rate and the best I have come across. In short, I’m very satisfied!
